In January of 2013, Jarrar slid into Michelle’s Twitter DMs, neither of them knowing what would come of it.

They quickly realized they were both engineering majors at UNC Charlotte & they had more in common than they thought. Even though they were on the same campus, in the same buildings, with the same labs, they had never crossed paths. Divine timing.

What started as a simple DM turned into years of laughs, support, and most importantly, GROWTH. On their 12th dating anniversary, Jarrar popped the question & Michelle said yes!

They have supported each others goals and aspirations for years. They have purchased property together. They are raising two children together, one of them a quarantine baby which may have been the biggest challenge of their relationship. But most importantly they have grown both separately & individually. They have grown closer to each other, while growing closer to God.

February 28, 2026 would have been their 13th dating anniversary, but instead, it will be their wedding day. Divine Timing. They can’t wait to celebrate with everyone who’s been part of their journey.
